Event Overview

The Milk Run 5K is a community event organized by TG Lee Dairy, taking place in the Milk District area of downtown Orlando. It is described as the event's second annual edition. The event features two activities: the main 5K run and a Kids Half-Pint Fun Run for participants aged 7 and under.

Race Details

The 5K route goes through the historic streets of the Milk District. There is a Cow Costume Division, and participants are encouraged to wear cow or milk-themed costumes. The first person to finish in a cow costume receives a special award. Age group awards are given for the top three in each category, as well as for the top three overall male and female finishers and the top master.

The Kids Half-Pint Fun Run follows the main 5K. Distances for the kids' run vary by age, from a 50-yard dash to a 200-yard dash.

Registration & Logistics

Registration is tiered, with prices increasing as the event date approaches.

  • 5K Run: The event has a capacity of 1,250 participants. Fees are $35 until April 11, 2026, rising to $40 until May 1, and $45 on race day if space remains.
  • Kids Half-Pint Fun Run: This event has a capacity of 100 participants. Fees are $15 until April 11, 2026, rising to $20 until May 1, and $25 on race day.

All entry fees are non-refundable and non-transferable. Race day registration is available. Registration for both events includes a soft cotton unisex t-shirt; registering by April 18 guarantees the correct size.

Packet pickup is available early on Friday, May 1, 2026, at the TG Lee Dairy offices in Orlando. It is also available on race morning at Festival Park.

Event Amenities

All paid 5K participants receive a milk-themed finisher medal. Kids in the fun run receive a finisher item. An after-party is hosted by TG Lee Dairy and the Milk District, featuring giveaways, prizes, sponsors, vendors, free TG Lee Dairy milk, and free Mayfield ice cream.

Free parking is provided at Festival Park, with space noted as limited. Participants are encouraged to arrive early.

Safety & Policies

The event is held rain or shine, though severe weather may cause delay or cancellation. For safety, bicycles, roller skates, in-line skates, baby carriers, and dogs are prohibited on the course. Jogging strollers are permitted but must start at the back.

Participants are encouraged to bring reusable water bottles for refilling at provided stations. All proceeds from the event benefit the Boys and Girls Club of Central Florida. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
