The 5k Chicken Run
The 5k Chicken Run is a community running event held at Oviedo Mall in Oviedo, Florida. The event offers both an in person 5k Run/Walk and a virtual 3.1 mile option. Registration fees listed are $20.00 for the in person 5k and $25.00 for the virtual entry. Registration windows in the source material differ by event.
Packet pickup is scheduled for the week of the event with additional packet pickup details to be announced. All participants are chip timed and all finishers receive a finisher medal. Awards are given to the top three male and top three female finishers, and to the top three in each age group. Age groups listed span from 14 and under through 85 and older.
Parking for the in person event is provided at Oviedo Mall. Dogs are allowed at the in person event when kept on a leash. Proceeds from the event support Victory Track club and various local youth sports programs.
