The Memorial Day Mile : Columbia City
The Memorial Day Mile is a point to point, downhill one mile road race that follows Van Buren Street in downtown Columbia City and finishes at the Whitley County YMCA. The course begins a few blocks west of the main courthouse square and runs east to the YMCA, ending near the facility.
Packet pick up is available on race day at a tent on the courthouse square at 101 West Van Buren Street, Columbia City, IN 46725. Post race refreshments and awards will be provided at the finish area by the YMCA.
Parking is available throughout Columbia City and at the YMCA; participants are asked to avoid parking along Van Buren Street where the start and parade route are located.
There are several registration options for the one mile distance, including standard and no shirt entries, and a youth no shirt option for participants 13 and under. Entry fees vary by option. Awards are presented to Overall Male and Female and Overall Masters Male and Female, and to the top three male and female finishers in each age group. All runners are eligible for overall awards, which are based on gun time. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
