The Madison Cardinal Race for Red is scheduled for May 9, 2026 in Winona Lake, Indiana. The event centers on a start and finish at Cloud 9 Multisport and offers two community running options.

- 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk
Strollers and dogs are permitted on the course. For safety reasons, bikes, scooters, rollerblades, and similar wheeled devices are not allowed. Dog participants must be kept on a non-retractable leash, supervised at all times, and owners must be prepared to clean up after their animals. Any dog showing aggressive behavior toward people or other dogs must be removed from the event by its owner.
Organizers note a registration deadline for t-shirt guarantee: 5k registrants who register before March 28, 2025 are guaranteed a race t-shirt designed by a Madison student; after that date, t-shirt availability is on a first come, first served basis. T-shirts are not provided for the 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk.
This is not a chip timed race. A large race clock will be available at the course for participants to track their time. Entry fees listed for the events include a price for the 5K and a price for the 1 Mile event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
