The Memorial 5K, Lake Barrington IL
The Memorial 5K is the fifth annual 5K Run/Walk held on May 24, 2026 in Lake Barrington, Illinois. The starting line is at Market Place Shopping Center, at the corner of Kelsey Road and Route 59, ZIP 60010. Parking is available at ReMax Properties Northwest, 5041 Shoreline Road, Lake Barrington, IL 60010.
Area veterans and active-duty service members will conduct a brief ceremony of remembrance before the race. The course runs through the Lake Barrington Shores community, is certified by U.S. Track and Field, and will be professionally chip timed.
The main distance is 3.1 Miles. Registration details provided by the organizer show fees of $30 and $25 for the 5K and a separate option titled "Buy an Honor Sign" with a $50 fee. The Memorial 5K is described as a 100% charity race. Proceeds benefit the Memorial 5K Foundation, which supports the work of the Veterans of Lake Barrington Shores and the Tunnel to Towers Foundation.
