The Memorial 5K is scheduled for Sunday, May 24, 2026, in Lake Barrington, Illinois. The event is presented by the Memorial 5K Foundation and is described as the 5th Annual Memorial 5K Run/Walk. The program includes a 5K run/walk and an option to purchase an honor sign.
Course and logistics
The course runs through the Lake Barrington Shores community and is certified by U.S. Track and Field. The finish will be professionally chip timed. Registered entrants receive a race tech shirt and a finishers medal. The start line is at the Market Place Shopping Center at the corner of Kelsey Road and Route 59, Lake Barrington, IL 60010. Parking is available at the Market Place lot and at ReMax Properties Northwest (5041 Shoreline Road); overflow parking is at North Barrington Elementary School with shuttle buses to the start line. Proceeds benefit the Memorial 5K Foundation, which supports the Veterans of Lake Barrington Shores and the Tunnel 2 Towers Foundation.
