Blast 5km Series @ The Meadows
The Blast 5km Series is a monthly mid-week lunchtime 5K held in The Meadows, Edinburgh. The course is flat, officially measured and licensed for a 5K distance and is routed from East Meadows Play Park on Melville Drive.
The event is open to runners aged 11 and above. Entry details published for members and non-members show a standard fee of £7 and a non-member fee of £10; a £3 insurance levy applies to non-Scottish Athletics members and is paid to Scottish Athletics. Maximum attendee capacity is 250.
Prizes are awarded to the first male and first female in each age category for online entries. Results are submitted to Run Britain Rankings and Scottish Athletics. An optional finisher's medal is available for an additional £5. The series supports local charities and includes a donation of £1 per runner.
