Lochore Off Road Triathlon Festival 2026
The Lochore Off Road Triathlon Festival is the seventh edition of the event, scheduled for 30 Aug 2026 at Lochore Meadows Country Park. The event is Triathlon Scotland sanctioned and the full distance triathlon will count towards the Off Road Triathlon Scotland rankings.
Formats include multiple race options and multisport formats:
- Full: 1 km swim, three-lap off-road bike, 5 km run.
- Short: 500 m swim, two-lap bike, 3 km run.
- Tristars: one-lap bike, 2.4 km run.
- Aquabike: swim and bike on the full course.
- Duathlon: run and bike format.
- Aquathlon: swim and run, including a bikeless Lochore Aquathlon.
The full swim takes place in the freshwater of Loch Ore and is swum as two 500 m laps with an Aussie style beach exit after lap 1. The swim area has safety cover. The off-road bike follows a multi-lap mixed terrain circuit that includes White Woods, Chapel Chase, Quarry Wood and Lindsay’s Loop. The course includes some small technical sections with rocks, roots and mud.
The full and aquathlon run follows a mixed terrain 5 km route that circumnavigates the hilly Clune and an old ironage fort before returning along the loch side. Park facilities offer attractions for non competing family supporters. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
