Blast 5km Series @ The Meadows (Edinburgh) 2026
The Blast 5km Series is a recurring mid-week lunchtime 5K held in The Meadows, Edinburgh. Events in 2026 take place on 12 May, 6 October and 22 December at East Meadows Play Park / Melville Drive, Edinburgh EH9 1ND. The course is a flat, officially measured and licensed 5-kilometre route.
The series is open to runners aged 11 and over. Entry categories and offers show a standard fee of £7 and a non-member fee of £10; a £3 insurance levy applies to non-Scottish Athletics members. An optional finisher's medal is available for an additional £5. Event capacity is limited to 250 attendees.
Race administration details include online-only prizes for first male and female in each age category, and results submitted to Run Britain Rankings and Scottish Athletics. The organiser accepts cash and card for on-site registration. The series supports local charities; past donations are recorded and a nominated charity is listed for each event.
