The course uses mixed terrain with fast forest trails and steady inclines. Outposts will provide snacks, gels and electrolyte drinks as top-ups; there will not be pre-filled water cups. The event promotes a plastic-free approach and asks participants to bring a reusable cup or bottle.
Safety, kit and services
Cut-off points apply to the Ultra and Marathon routes for safety. Mandatory items for Ultra and Marathon routes include a waterproof jacket, mobile phone, at least 1 litre of water, 800 calories of food, self-adhesive bandage, whistle, foil blanket, hat or buff, a reusable cup and a GPX of the route.
