The event is a community running event held at Eisenhower Park, Field 2, Parking Lot 2 in East Meadow, NY. Proceeds support The Mary Ruchalski Foundation, whose mission is to fund pediatric cancer research and support families affected by pediatric cancer. Event services include finish line photos, bottled water, live online/email/text results, and on-site raffles. All registered participants are eligible to win a $100 AMEX gift card. Results and photos are available online the same day.
Awards are given to the top overall male and female finishers, who receive trophies. Age-group medals are awarded to the top male and female in each age category: 14 and under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 plus.
Bib pickup is offered in person and virtually; virtual bibs are shipped, with a shipping window that ranges from one week prior to one week after the event. Personalized race numbers are available for registrations completed at least three weeks in advance, and a self-lookup option exists for participants who do not know their bib number.
The course takes place within Eisenhower Park, a large public park in Nassau County. The course is USATF certified. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
