The Madison 5K Run/Walk Trail Race & Kids Fun Run
The 23rd annual Madison 5K Run/Walk takes place on Sunday, May 3, 2026. The event features a new 5K course that goes through roads and trails around Madison High School (MHS) and the Madison Recreation Complex (MRC). The course is two loops, starting and ending at the MHS track, going up the driveway, into the MRC, through trails, and back to the high school.
Parking is available at Madison High School (170 Ridgedale Avenue), but not at the MRC. Packet pickup is available on Friday, May 1, and Saturday, May 2, at Alfred's Sport Shop (32 Main Street, Madison, NJ), and on Sunday at Madison High School before the race.
The event includes:
- 5K Run/Walk for all ages, starting at 9:00 AM. The fee is $45 ($35 for participants 18 and under).
- Kids Fun Run for kids 10 and under only, starting at 10:00 AM. The fee is $25.
- A combo package for kids 10 and under to do both the 5K and Kids Fun Run for $40.
- Family pricing for 4-6 registrants is available for $135.
Proceeds support teacher-initiated grants at Madison public schools. The MEF may cover registration fees for students and families with financial need. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
