Event overview
The Luck of the Greene is a 5k road race held on March 21, 2026 at Dover Fox Croft in Ruckersville, Virginia. The 5k course consists of two laps of the property. Race points count toward the Year-Long 5k & Back of the Pack Series and toward the Winter Series. A virtual race option is available. The race benefits Greene County P&R and is organized by Bishops Events.
Race details and logistics
Runners receive a finisher’s medal, a technical (Dri-fit) event shirt, and the event is chip timed. Registration is listed as $30 until Feb 28; the fee is shown as $35 thereafter. The price will increase by $5 on race morning for each distance. T-shirt sizes are guaranteed for runners registered before March 11; additional shirts may be available after that date on a first-come, first-served basis.
There will be one water station on the 5k course at about mile 1.55. Port-a-johns will be located near the check-in and registration area. Packet pickup is available at the event; organizers recommend arriving about 60 minutes before the event to check in. Race day registration will be offered. Live results will be posted on Athlinks and via a race QR code; final results with series points will be posted on the Monday after the race.
Awards are given to the top three men and women overall, and to 1st and 2nd place male and female in standard age categories from 19 & under through 70+.
