Charlottesville Turkey Trot 5K
The Charlottesville Turkey Trot 5K takes place on Nov. 26, 2026 in Charlottesville, Virginia, with the course starting and finishing next to Albemarle High School. The neighborhood course includes flat stretches and gentle rolling hills and records 133 feet of elevation gain. Parking is available at Albemarle High School, Journey Middle School, and Greer Elementary.

Registration opens Sept. 1 with a regular fee of $35. Registration by Oct. 26 guarantees a race shirt while supplies last. Late registration runs on Nov. 25 through Nov. 26 with an increased fee of $48. Registration may be completed as an individual or as part of a team; team scoring is based on the four fastest cumulative times.
Packet pickup is held at Connect Church, 2080 Lambs Rd: Tuesday, Nov. 24 (3-6pm) and Wednesday, Nov. 25 (1-5pm). Race morning packet pickup will be available at Albemarle High School at the main track entrance. Chip timing is provided by Blue Ridge Timing. Local Albemarle EMT medical services will be on site.
The event supports local food programs, including the Blue Ridge Area Food Bank and Loaves & Fishes Food Pantry. Race policies include no refunds or deferrals, no dogs on the course, and strollers permitted only in the final wave; violations may affect future entry.
