Charlottesville Turkey Trot 5k
The Charlottesville Turkey Trot 5k takes place during the Thanksgiving period at Albemarle High School in Charlottesville, VA. The course runs through local neighborhoods and includes flat stretches as well as gentle rolling hills, with a total elevation gain of 133 feet. The start and finish are next to Albemarle High School.

- 3.1 Miles virtual option
Ample parking is available at Albemarle High School, Journey Middle School, and Greer Elementary. Packet pickup is held at Connect Church on the Tuesday and Wednesday before the main event, with a race day pickup option at the Albemarle High School main track entrance. Late registration is available the evening before and the morning of the event, with a late registration price increase to $48.
The race supports two local food assistance organizations: the Blue Ridge Area Food Bank and Loaves & Fishes Food Pantry. The Blue Ridge Area Food Bank serves Central Virginia and is an affiliate of Feeding America. Loaves & Fishes is located on the race route and distributes food from the Blue Ridge Area Food Bank to local households.
Race services include chip timing by Blue Ridge Timing and on site Albemarle EMT medical support. Additional event rules note there are no refunds or deferrals, dogs are not allowed on the course, and strollers are permitted only in the final wave.
