The Lost Valley Trail Race 2026

The Lost Valley Trail Race takes place on October 24, 2026, in the Dundas area of Ontario, Canada. It is a point-to-point trail race run on the Iroquoia Section of the Bruce Trail. Two distances are offered.

Distances:

• 25 km – Starts at Cityview Park in Burlington.
• 10 km – Starts at Rock Chapel Conservation Area in Dundas.

Both races finish at the Dundas Valley Conservation Area, where participants must park. A bus ride from the finish line to the respective start line is included in the race fee; participants may also arrange their own transportation.

The course is primarily on the main Bruce Trail, marked with white blazes. The 25 km route travels through the Smokey Hollow area, along Grindstone Creek, and passes through rocky sections, a tunnel under Highway 6, and offers views from the Niagara Escarpment. It has approximately 600m of elevation gain and 720m of elevation loss. The 10 km course is 75% trail and 25% road, with approximately 185m of elevation gain and 265m of elevation loss.

• The event is limited to 180 participants.
• The registration fee includes parking at Dundas Valley Conservation Area, a pair of running socks, a neck gaiter, a sticker, a race bib, and a finisher's medal.
• $10 from each registration goes to the Iroquoia Bruce Trail Club.
• Aid stations are provided on the course (three for the 25 km, one for the 10 km).
• The event is cup-less: runners must bring their own reusable cup or bottle.
• The use of poles is permitted.
