The Lost Valley Trail Race 2026
The Lost Valley Trail Race takes place on October 24, 2026 at the Dundas Valley Conservation Area in Dundas, Ontario. The event is sanctioned by Athletics Ontario and limited to 180 participants to retain a community focus. Both distances are point-to-point courses that finish at the Dundas Valley Conservation Area; parking at the finish is included with registration and a bus transfer from the finish to each start is provided.
Distances:
- 10 km: starts at Rock Chapel Conservation Area, roughly 75% trail and 25% road.
- 25 km: starts at Cityview Park in Burlington, mostly single-track along the Niagara Escarpment.
Both courses follow the Main Trail of the Bruce Trail and are marked with the trail's white blazes; additional markings will appear only on the first 250 m, the last 250 m, and the 2.5 km road section through Dundas. The 25 km route includes rolling single-track, rocky sections, a tunnel under Hwy 6, escarpment climbs and descents, views near Borer's Falls, and a final lap around Stacey Meadow Pond. Elevation figures: 25 km about 600 m gain and 720 m loss; 10 km about 185 m gain and 265 m loss.
There will be three aid stations on the 25 km course (7.5 km, 15 km, 20 km) and one on the 10 km course (around 5 km). Events are cup-less so participants must bring a collapsible cup or bottle. Poles are permitted. Race kits include a bus ride, socks, neck gator, sticker, small custom bib, aid station access, a finisher medal, and a CA$10 donation per registration to the Iroquoia Bruce Trail Club. THN Labs will supply gels in kits and at aid stations and La Sportiva will have a demo presence and giveaways. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
