Event details
The Longest Night is an overnight trail and ultra run held December 20-21, 2025 at Lakewood Nature Preserve, 220 Lakewood Drive, Greenville, SC. Event proceeds and donations support the Upstate Running Club Youth Team. The listed registration price for the main challenge is $65, with a reduced price of $15 for ages 1-17.

- 50 miles - 34 laps
- 50K - 21 laps
- Marathon (26.2) - 18 laps
- Half marathon (13.1) - 9 laps
- 10K - 4 laps
Course, aid and logistics
The course uses a 1.5-mile loop of wide grassy paths with rolling hills. A central barn at the preserve serves as the hub for the start/finish area, the runners’ aid station, and space for personal setups or tents. The event is cup-less; participants must bring their own hydration vessel.
The aid station offers hot soup and broth, pickles, chips, candy, fig newtons, water, Coke, and ginger ale. Packet pickup is held inside the barn. Volunteer shifts of about three hours (packet pickup, setup, cleanup, or cheer squad) are offered in exchange for a free entry to any Upstate Race Series-owned event.
