The Legacy Run: A 5K for Peace & Prevention
The Legacy Run is a community event hosted by the Jarrod Michael Lockett Foundation in Huntsville, Alabama. Held at the Aldridge Creek Greenway, this event focuses on promoting peace and violence prevention through community engagement. The race supports various foundation initiatives, including youth mentorship, education, conflict resolution, and empowerment programs.

The course is open to participants of all ages and fitness levels, including runners, walkers, and families. A unique feature of the event is the opportunity for participants to honor loved ones lost to violent crime. During the registration process, individuals can submit names and photos to be memorialized and displayed at the start and finish lines.
Participants receive a medal and a T-shirt for their attendance. On-site refreshments are available after the race, including cold-pressed juice and smoothie options. Awards are presented to the top three overall male and female runners, as well as the top male and female masters runners aged 40 and over.
