The Legacy Loop 5K at Chocolate City Criterium

The Legacy Loop 5K is a 5 kilometer race held as part of the Chocolate City Criterium at The Fields at RFK Stadium in Washington, DC (401 Oklahoma Ave NE, 20019). The course uses the Chocolate City Criterium race layout and covers four laps of that course.

The event is presented by REI Coop and includes two competition waves. The Run Club Championship wave is for runners targeting sub 18 minute 5K paces and is organized for run clubs to compete for a club title. The Community 5K wave is for runners targeting 18 to 45 minute 5K paces and is open to individual participants. The fastest run club receives the Legacy Loop Championship Belt.

Registration opens April 1, 2026 and closes May 14, 2026. The registration fee is $30.00. The Legacy Loop 5K takes place within the larger Chocolate City Criterium event at RFK Campus and follows the event's chosen race format and course layout.
