The Last Wolf - Kings Mountain, NC
The Last Wolf is a loop race held in Kings Mountain, North Carolina on October 10, 2026. The event uses a Last Man Standing format on a 3.1 mile (5K) loop. The course is primarily gravel with some uphill and downhill sections and is described as an out-and-back style with about a mile out before returning.
The time limit for each loop changes in a repeating cycle: 40, 45, 50, 55, and 60 minutes, then it resets to 40 minutes and repeats. Missing a cutoff eliminates a runner. To claim victory one runner must complete a final solo loop within the current time limit; if that loop is not finished in time, the race can end without a winner.
