Course, logistics and rules
Courses are marked with directional signs and colored trail flags; each distance uses its own flag color. Trails include single track and grass sections that may be wet or slick and can have roots, leaves, and occasional fallen-tree obstacles. Course maps are available in the event course details.
Aid stations: two main aid stations serve the 25K and 50K; the 50K has an additional refill at the start/finish when runners return for a second loop. The 10K has one aid station. There is no aid on the 5K or Kids Run; runners are expected to carry water bottles for refilling.
Parking requires an Alaska State Parks parking permit; annual passes are available online and daily passes at the on-site kiosk. Rules include visible bibs on the front, no dogs on course, dropping only at aid stations with volunteer check-in, no littering, and possible disqualification for poor sportsmanship. Cutoffs: the 50K is two 25K loops with a halfway and total cutoff; the 25K has a total cutoff. Finishers receive a finisher's mug and the top three men’s and women’s finishers are recognized for each race. Refunds, deferrals, bib exchanges, and transfers are not offered.
