Event Overview

The Lake Tri Series 2026 is a collection of five sprint-distance triathlon events held at Cromhall Quarry in South Gloucestershire. Located near Junction 14 of the M5, the venue features a clear-water quarry for the swimming portion of the race. The series consists of four midweek races held on Wednesday evenings and a finale held on a Saturday.

Participants can compete in individual races or aim for the overall series title. A points-based system tracks performance across the different dates, with prizes awarded to the first male and female finishers at each event, as well as overall series champions.

Course Details

Each event in the series follows a standard sprint-distance format:

750m open water swim in the quarry with water safety support
18km road bike course on local roads
5km road run finishing inside the quarry grounds

Facilities and Support

The event provides a secure transition area with numbered racking for bicycles. Registration includes chip timing, free swim hats, and access to toilets and changing rooms on-site. Professional first aid and public liability insurance are also included for all participants. Parking is available in the bottom car park located by the water.
