The Lake Triathlon Series 2026
The Lake Triathlon Series takes place at Cromhall Quarry in South Gloucestershire, just off Junction 14 of the M5. The event consists of five sprint-distance races held across the summer at the quarry waters.
Races are scheduled on the second Wednesday of each month with a finale on Saturday 12th September 2026. Race dates include 13 May, 10 June, 8 July, 12 August and the finale on 12 September.
Race format - Standard sprint distance:
- 750 m swim - open water lake swim with full water safety support
- 18 km bike - road course on local roads
- 5 km run - road run finishing inside the quarry
Registration includes chip timing, podium medals, series points for each event completed, free swim hats, secure transition area, numbered racking, professional first aid, toilets and changing rooms, public liability insurance, and a clean water swim site.
Prizes are awarded to the first male and first female at each race, and an overall Series Champion is recognised for both male and female categories. The series uses a points based system so athletes accumulate points by completing individual races.
Parking is provided in the bottom car park by the water. The bike course uses local roads and the run finishes inside the quarry. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
