Event Overview
The Cotswold Way Ultra Challenge is a trek and trail run event on 13-14 June 2026 in the Cotswolds, England. The basecamp is in Cirencester.
Distances and Options
Participants can choose from these distances:
- 100 km with approximately 2250m of climb
- 75 km with approximately 1650m of climb
- 50 km with approximately 1600m of climb
- 25 km with approximately 600m of climb
- 10 km in Cirencester
Activities include walking, jogging, or running. New for 2026, the Ultra Trailblazerz category is for faster runners, and the Ultra March category is for walkers aiming to complete 100 km in under 24 hours or 50 km in under 12 hours. A solo start time is available.
Route and Terrain
The full 100 km route is a loop from the Cirencester basecamp. It passes through rolling hills, villages, and follows the Cotswold Way on footpaths and trails.
Support and Amenities
Rest stops are every approximately 12.5 km, with major stops every 25 km. They have marquee cover, medical and welfare tents, catering, seating, and changing rooms. Food and drinks include snacks, main meals, and energy drinks, with dietary options. Camping packages are available at the halfway point, with showers and chill-out areas. Medical support includes doctors, paramedics, first aiders, podiatrists, and massage teams. Finishers receive a medal, T-shirt, glass of fizz, and a meal. Shuttle buses and transfers are provided.
Participation
