Cotswold Way Ultra Challenge : event details

The Cotswold Way Ultra Challenge takes place on 13-14 June 2026 in the Cotswolds, with Cirencester as the basecamp. The event offers multiple challenge distances and route formats, including a full continuous ~100 km loop with approximately 2250 m of climb, and a two-day daylight 100 km option split across two stages with an optional camping package at the halfway point. The event includes basecamp facilities such as camping and hostel-style accommodation, transfers, and parking.

Distances available:

  • 100 km - full continuous loop, ~2250 m climb
  • 76 km - three-quarter challenge, ~1650 m climb
  • 53 km - first half, ~1600 m climb
  • 47 km - second half, ~650 m climb
  • 30 km - second quarter, ~1000 m climb
  • 23 km - first quarter, ~600 m climb
  • 10 km - Cirencester 10K

The event provides marquee rest stops approximately every 12.5 km (major stops ~25 km), catering, seating, medical and massage teams, and covered facilities. Routes are fully signed and supported by GPS tracking through a mobile App; timing scans record progress at rest stops and a Control Room monitors entries. Additional services include shuttle buses to local train stations, finishers’ medal, T-shirt and meal, and camping shower/chill areas for overnight options. Special entry categories include Ultra March and Ultra Trailblazerz for timed walking and competitive running respectively.
