Cotswold Way Ultra Challenge : 13-14 June 2026

The Cotswold Way Ultra Challenge is a multi-distance trek and trail event based at a Cirencester basecamp. The programme includes looped and point-to-point options through the Cotswolds, with routes on the Cotswold Way, footpaths and trails that pass rolling hills and villages. Distances offered include:

  • 100 km (full continuous loop, ~2250 m climb)
  • ~76 km (3/4 challenge, ~1650 m climb)
  • ~53 km (first half, ~1600 m climb)
  • ~47 km (second half, ~650 m climb)
  • ~30 km (second quarter, ~1000 m climb)
  • ~23 km (first quarter, ~600 m climb)
  • 10 km (Cirencester 10K)

Categories include a walker-focused Ultra March option and a new Trailblazerz category for faster runners, plus a Solo Challengers start option. Camping and hostel options are available at the Cirencester basecamp, with optional camping packages at a mid-point campsite for the two-day format.

Route support, services and entry options

The event provides signed routes and GPS tracking via an app, rest stops approximately every 12.5 km with major stops about every 25 km, catering, medical and massage teams, and marquee cover with seating and changing areas. Shuttle buses, transfers and parking are available. Entry can be self-funded or charity-backed with several sponsorship models and multi-event discounts. Registration is open.
