Event Overview
The Kook Run takes place in Encinitas, California, providing participants with a route along the Coast Highway 101. The event features views of the Pacific Ocean and well-known surf breaks. The course is designed as an out-and-back route that begins with a gradual downhill section. On the return leg, runners encounter several uphill elements before entering the final stretch through downtown Encinitas.

Logistics
The Jr. Kook race and packet pickup take place on the Saturday prior to the main Sunday events. Participants have the option to receive their race bibs via mail one week in advance of the event for an additional service. The event also hosts a costume contest where participants can compete for prizes while running or walking the course.
