The Kenny Phillips 10 Mile Road Race around Cumbrae
The event takes place on 20 September 2026 and is held on the island road B896, following an anti-clockwise loop. The course is a certified 10 mile course and the event is licensed by Scottish Athletics and conducted under UK Athletics rules. The race will be timed by Perfect Timing and medals are awarded to all finishers.
Registration is at Garrison House in Millport at 12:30. Entries close on 14 September or when the entry limit is reached. There are no entries on the day, and no refunds or transfers are allowed. A regular ferry service from Largs pier serves Millport; the ferry journey takes a little over 10 minutes and a bus meets each ferry. Free refreshments are provided after the race.
UK Athletics rules prohibit the wearing of headphones during the race; runners risk disqualification if this rule is ignored. Changing and toilets are provided with locations noted for women at the Drop-in Centre in College Street and facilities to be confirmed for men. The race incorporates the Ayrshire 10 mile championship.
Age group categories are listed for male and female participants as 18-39, at least 40, at least 50, at least 60, and at least 70. Team prizes are offered with male teams counting four to score and female teams counting three to score.
