The Jon Ward 5K 2026
The Jon Ward Hereford 5K is a chip timed 5 kilometre race held on a tarmaced cycle track at Hereford Leisure Centre. The in person event takes place on 16 August 2026 and uses five laps of the flat cycle track. The route will be fully marked and marshalled and holds a UK Athletics race licence. Prizes are awarded to the first three male and female finishers and there is a bespoke finisher medal for all participants.
A virtual Jon Ward 5K runs between 8 and 16 August 2026. Virtual entrants may run anywhere, submit their recorded activity to the organisers and will receive a bespoke medal posted to their home address once the result is validated. Entry fees differ by category: the in person entry is listed at £19 for affiliated runners and £21 for unattached runners, while virtual entries are listed at £14. All profits from both events will be donated to charity in memory of Jon Ward.
