The Jon Ward Hereford 5K 2026
The Jon Ward Hereford 5K takes place on Sunday 16 August 2026 at Hereford Leisure Centre, Holmer Road, HR4 9UD. Entry fees are £19 for affiliated runners and £21 for unattached runners. The on-site race is chip timed and awards a bespoke finisher medal to all finishers. The course uses the tarmacked cycle track at the leisure centre, comprises five laps to complete the 5 km distance, and holds a UK Athletics race licence. Prizes will be presented to the first, second and third placed male and female finishers. Race HQ is at Hereford Leisure Centre, which has pay-and-display parking; number collection is on the day and runners are asked to allow time to collect numbers before 9.30am. All profits from the event will be donated to charity in memory of a former Hereford Courier.
Jon Ward Virtual 5K 2026
The virtual event runs during race week, 8–16 August 2026. Entry for the virtual race is £14 and includes a bespoke finisher medal posted to participants. Virtual entrants must complete a 5 km run during the race week and submit their activity by uploading to Strava and tagging Hereford Couriers or by sending a screenshot/link of the recorded activity to the club.
