The John Martins Foundation 5k is a running and walking event to raise funds for the Rhode Island Hospital burn unit. All funds support the purchase of advanced laser equipment, costing over $250,000, for reconstructive surgery for burn survivors.

The event is based at 185 Asylum Road in Warwick, Rhode Island. It takes place on Sunday, May 17, 2026.
Three events are offered:
- 5k Run/Walk: An in-person 5 km run or walk.
- 1k Run/Walk: An in-person 1 km run or walk.
- Virtual 5K: A 5 km event that can be completed remotely.
Registration for the in-person 5k costs $35, and the price increases after April 22, 2026. Registration for the 1k costs $20, with a price increase after February 25, 2026. The virtual 5k registration costs $30 and ends on the event day.
Participants completing the in-person 5k receive a finishers medal. An event T-shirt is available for purchase for an additional fee during registration.
