The John Martins Foundation/RI Burn Foundation 3rd Annual 5k and 1k Race/Walk
The event takes place on May 17, 2026, at 185 Asylum Road, Warwick, RI 02886. It is organized by the John Martins Foundation together with the RI Burn Foundation to raise funds for advanced laser equipment for the burn unit at Rhode Island Hospital. The equipment cost is stated as more than $250,000 and all funds raised will go toward purchasing that equipment.

Registration opens January 1, 2026. Entry fees listed are $30 for the 5k, $20 for the 1k, and $30 for the virtual 5k. Participants registered by May 5 will receive a RaceDay t-shirt. Finishers of the 5k will receive a finishers medal.
The event is described as taking place rain or shine. The organizers state there are no refunds for any reason; if weather creates an unsafe environment the event may be cancelled with no refunds issued.
