Rhode Island Half Marathon & 5K
The event on Sunday, May 17, 2026, offers in-person and virtual race options with courses that run along the East Bay Bike Path and provide views of Narragansett Bay and the Providence skyline. Both the half marathon and the 5K are USATF certified.

Both in-person courses start and finish at Pierce Memorial Stadium in East Providence, RI. The half marathon field is capped at 2,000 participants. All participants are chip timed; the half marathon time limit is 3.5 hours. USATF certification numbers are RI25003JK for the half and RI25004JK for the 5K.
Included participant items and post-race amenities are a Brooks technical race shirt, an event finisher medal, a breakfast sandwich, one complimentary Chair 2 beer for those 21 and older, live music at Pierce Stadium, and free post-race stretching. Pacers will lead six half marathon pace groups with target finishing times from 1:45 to 3:00; no prior sign up is required and pacers meet near the start line on race morning.
Packet pickup is available at Marathon Sports, Providence Place, on May 9, 15, and 16 with additional race day pickup at Pierce Memorial Stadium beginning at 6:15 a.m. A bag drop near the finish operates on the honor system and closes at 11:00 a.m. Parking is available in stadium lots and at lots on Veterans Memorial Parkway; street parking is allowed on Sunday. The event policy notes no refunds, no pets, and requests that stroller users start at the back.
Awards are given to top overall finishers by gun time and to age group winners by chip time. Team awards include a Top Family and Friends Team category. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
