Bob Houghtaling 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk
The Bob Houghtaling 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk takes place at Goddard Memorial State Park in Warwick, Rhode Island. Both the running and walking events are held entirely within the park grounds, with the course starting and finishing near the gazebo and the beach area. This event operates rain or shine and supports the Bob Houghtaling Foundation.
Participants can choose from the following distances:
- 5 km
- 1 mile
The 1 mile distance is designated as a Fun Run/Walk. According to the participation policy, children under the age of 10 must be accompanied by a parent or adult guardian to take part in this specific distance. Participants who register for the 5 km event are permitted to join the 1 mile Fun Run/Walk at no additional cost.
Awards are presented to the top three overall male and female finishers. Additionally, the top male and female finishers in each specific age group receive recognition. To receive an award, winners must be present at the ceremony. Event t-shirts are available as a separate purchase.
