The James Gang 5K Run & Walk Fundraiser
The event is the third annual James Gang 5K Run & Walk fundraiser held at Burlington High School, 123 Cambridge Street, Burlington, MA on September 27, 2026. It supports The James Gang, a 501(c)(3) organization that pursues inclusion opportunities for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities and promotes awareness of NARS1 gene disorder.
The 5K road race uses a USATF certified course and will feature professional chip timing by RaceWire. Participant amenities noted include cider donuts, a water stop, downloadable finish line photos, participant shirts (registration by September 9 guarantees a shirt; later registrants receive shirts as available), finish line music, and prizes for the top three male and top three female finishers.
Registration includes early bird and regular pricing tiers and a discounted entry for children under 14; the child entry does not include a shirt. Race packets can be picked up on race day at Burlington High School; early pickup details are to be announced. Parking is available in the upper and lower lots at the high school, and restrooms in the school will be accessible. Roads on the course will remain open; a police detail will assist at intersections and participants are advised to remain aware of surroundings for safety.
