The James Gang 5K Run & Walk Fundraiser
The James Gang 5K Run & Walk is a community fundraising event held in Burlington, Massachusetts. It is the third annual edition and benefits The James Gang, a 501(c)(3) organization that supports inclusion for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities and promotes awareness of NARS1 gene disorder. The event uses a USATF certified course and professional chip timing provided by RaceWire.
The course starts and finishes at Burlington High School, 123 Cambridge Street. Packet pick-up is available at the school on race day. Parking is available in the upper lot near the cafeteria and the lower lot in front of the school; the upper lot is on the left side when facing the building. The school building will be unlocked and restrooms will be accessible.
On-course and event features include a water stop, cider donuts, downloadable finish line photos at no extra charge, participant shirts with a registration cutoff date for guaranteed sizing, music at the finish line, and prizes for the top three male and top three female finishers. Race organizers note that roads will remain open during the event and that a police detail will assist at intersections.
Registration fee structure includes an early bird option, a regular price period, and a reduced rate for children under 14. Specific fee amounts and registration dates are listed by the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
