The Inferno Challenge
The Inferno Challenge is a summer running event held at Harns Marsh in Lehigh Acres, Florida. Taking place on Saturday, July 18, 2026, this event offers three distinct distances through sun-exposed terrain in Lee County.
Participants can choose from three event distances:
- 5K
- 12K
- 25K
The course is characterized as flat and fast. While the 5K is open to a general audience, the 12K and 25K are specifically aimed at endurance athletes due to the summer conditions. All participants are subject to a strict course cut-off at 12:00 PM.
Registered runners receive an Inferno T-shirt and a custom finisher medal upon completion of their race. Awards are also presented to the top overall finishers and age group winners. A designated packet pickup takes place the day before the race at Fleet Feet Fort Myers. The organizers recommend that participants prepare for the environment by dressing in light clothing, hydrating early, and applying sunscreen.
