The event takes place the weekend of August 1–2, 2026 in Silverton, Oregon and includes several race options tied to the Homer Davenport Community Festival. A new component, the Homer Parade Mile, leads the festival parade through downtown Silverton with a start on North Water Street near Silverton Middle School and a finish just past Roth's Fresh Market on North First Street. The Homer Classic 8k and the 2 mile run/walk use Silverton High School (1456 Pine St.) for the start and finish; there is parking at the high school.

Distances included:

  • 1 Mile (Parade Mile)
  • 2 Mile run and walk
  • 8k run

The 8k course passes through the Historic Gallon House Bridge, noted as the only covered bridge in Marion County, and is described as scenic, flat and fast. The Parade Mile can be combined with the 8k to determine an overall mile/8k winner. Entry fees vary by event and registration date; the Parade Mile has age-tiered pricing and a family option, and combined entry pricing is offered for the Mile plus the 8k. T-shirts are available for an extra fee and race packets are available on the day of the events. Races are organized by the Silverton Runners' Club; proceeds support local schools' track and cross country programs, youth running camp scholarships, and other local fitness activities. No dogs or motorized vehicles are permitted. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
