Event overview
The Hawaii Kai Ultra Run - Kalama Valley 2025 takes place on December 20 and 21, 2025 in Honolulu, HI. Check-in and the start/finish area are at Kalama Valley Park, 555 Kealahou St., near Sandy Beach. Street parking is available where allowed. Bus Route #23 stops at Bus Stop ID #288 across from the check-in tent.
This is a show-up and sign-in event with no packet pick up. Wave start options are offered for some distances; alternatively participants may sign in and start on their own. All distances must be started by noon on Sunday unless prior arrangements are made with the race director.
Course and distances
The event uses a 3.34-mile loop course. The start/finish is in the middle of the loop. Turnaround points are marked with cones and signs. The route runs on Kealahou St., with a turnaround at Kealahou and Ipuai St., and a makai leg toward Sandy Beach before returning to the start.

Services and notes
Water, ice, and snacks are provided at the start/finish tent. Public restrooms are available 24 hours at the tent. Certificates, medals, and stickers are awarded to all registered finishers. Finisher shirts are available for purchase during registration and may be available on race day in limited supply. The event is a 50 States Marathon Club qualifier. Completing certain long distances also qualifies entrants for entry into HURT races when timing is certified. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
