Honolulu Marathon 2026
The Honolulu Marathon is an annual endurance event taking place in Hawaii. It is recognized as the fourth largest marathon in the United States and is characterized by its open format. The event does not enforce a time limit for participants, allowing runners to complete the course at their own pace.
The race weekend features several different distance options and formats:
- Honolulu Marathon: A 26.2 mile (42.195 km) road race.
- Start to Park 10k: A 10 km distance held on the same day as the marathon.
- Kalakaua Merrie Mile: A 1 mile road race held the day before the main marathon.
The event includes an expo and packet pick-up for participants. While elite fields are present and records have been set at the event, the marathon is open to a wide range of participants, including residents of Hawaii, the US Mainland, and international runners. Support services for participants include official race photography, finishing area services, and a results system with downloadable certificates. Additional associated events organized by the same association include the King's Runner 10k in March and the Hapalua Half Marathon in April.
