JAL Honolulu Marathon
The JAL Honolulu Marathon is scheduled for December 13, 2026 in Honolulu, Hawaii. The race starts on Ala Moana Boulevard and finishes in Kapiolani Park near the park bandstand and Waikiki Aquarium. The full course covers 26.2 miles and passes downtown Honolulu, Waikiki Beach, Diamond Head, Kahala, and Hawaii Kai.
The event has no time limit and does not require a qualifying time or a lottery entry. Registration is open to everyone aged over seven years old, with early entry options available for specific regions. Entry fees vary by residency and registration period; there are discounts for active duty military and students. Group bookings of five or more entries receive a 10 percent discount. A payment plan is available that divides the registration fee into three payments. VIP charity places are offered in exchange for meeting charity fundraising targets.
Race packets are collected at the Honolulu Marathon Expo at the Hawaii Convention Center on the days before the race; packets are not mailed and will not be distributed on race day. Race inclusions listed by the organizer include a race bib with an embedded timing chip, a finisher shirt, a finisher medal, post race treats including freshly made malasadas, and post race festivities.
