Route Details
The Hangers Way 50K is a point-to-point ultramarathon along the Hangers Way, a long-distance path characterised by steep-sided wooded hills. The fully-signed course runs through Hampshire woodlands and grasslands, passing villages such as Bighton and Selborne. The event starts at Alice Holt Country Park in Farnham and finishes at Queen Elizabeth Country Park near Petersfield.
Event Logistics
The entry fee is £64 for the single 50K distance. Race bibs are collected on the day at the start. An optional coach service transports runners from the finish area to the start for £10, departing Queen Elizabeth Country Park at 07:15. Registration is open from 07:30 to 08:15.
On the Day
A cut-off time of nine hours is applied. There is a bag drop service, with bags transported from the start to the finish. All runners must carry at least 500ml of fluid. Runners are advised to carry appropriate clothing and are strongly encouraged to download the route GPX file.
Participants receive a finishers medal or can opt for a tree to be planted instead via the Trees Not Tees organization. The event features a fully marked course, aid stations, on-course safety support, medical support, volunteers, and photographers. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
