MGM Runway 5K (April 25, 2026)
The MGM Runway 5K is scheduled for April 25, 2026, at Montgomery Regional Airport in Montgomery, AL (4445 Selma Highway, 36108). The event includes a 5k Run/Walk and a 5k Spectator category. The race takes place on a closed course on the airfield using Taxiway Bravo, Delta, Echo, and Runway 3-21 south, beside the airport's active runway. The field is limited to the first 500 participants. Children 14 and under must be accompanied by a registered adult; children 5 and under are free with a registered adult. Registered participants may run or walk the runway.
Logistics and competition details
Registration shows a price for the 5k Run/Walk and a complimentary spectator option. Participants must register as runners to take part in the timed event. Race-day access to the course requires use of the provided shuttle. Awards will be given to the fastest overall male and female. Age group awards will be presented in multiple categories, from 14 & under through 75+. Overall awards are based on gun time; age group awards are based on chip time. Packet pick-up and late registration are handled at the MGM Intermodal Building (Taxi Building) at 4448 Selma Highway. A Run/Walk Athlete Guide Book is available for participants.
