Event
The Viking races are scheduled for February 28, 2026, at Blount Cultural Park in Montgomery, Alabama (36117). The event includes these distances:
- 5K
- 10K
- Half Marathon (13.1)
All runners must register on RunSignup. There is no on-site registration.
Courses and logistics
The 5K and 10K use a course segment of 0.78 miles that becomes an out-and-back of 1.56 miles. The 5K completes that out-and-back twice and the 10K completes it four times. The Half Marathon uses a 1.09-mile segment that becomes an out-and-back of 2.18 miles; the half repeats that out-and-back six times. The event has a course time limit of 3 hours and 30 minutes.
Packet pickup opens 30 minutes before the race and closes 10 minutes before the race starts. Parking is available in the large parking lot in the center of the park or at Scenic Open Space. Finisher medals, a shirt and gear shop, a best costume feature, series points, and awards are listed as part of the event information.
