Green Lantern

Green Lantern is a mixed terrain running event organised by Wild Running at Quay Climbing Centre, Haven Banks, Exeter. The event takes place on 6 June 2026 and uses the Green Circle route around Exeter.

The main route is a circular half marathon of about 14.2 miles that follows the Green Circle clockwise around Exeter. The course passes wooded valleys, meadows, bicycle lanes and the banks of the River Exe. Named areas on the route include Ludwell Valley, Hoopern Valley, Redhills and Mincing Lake Country Park. The overall elevation gain is 313 metres.

Two race options are available:

• 14.2 miles circular Green Circle half marathon
• 9 miles Yellow Zone from Marsh Barton station bridge approximately

Both races start together. Facilities noted for the event include toilets at the start and finish and additional toilets on Topsham Road and near Exwick cemetery. The setting includes a mix of trails, playing fields and flatlands running alongside the river and through valley areas. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
