Forest Flyer
The Forest Flyer is a trail race held in Haldon Forest Park near Exeter. The course runs for approximately 5 miles on forest tracks, paths and fire roads. The event includes two water stops plus provision at the finish; it is a cupless event and participants are expected to provide their own bottles or cups.
Entrants must be 18 years or older. Entry fees are listed as £14 for affiliated runners and £16 for non-affiliated runners. Parking is not included in the entry fee and is payable on the day. Race entries on the day, if available, carry an additional £2 administration charge and are payable in cash.
Prizes are awarded to the first three male and first three female finishers, together with age category prizes for male and female V40, V50, V60 and V70 categories. All finishers receive a bespoke memento and a Devondale flapjack. The event also incorporates the first Haldon Hillclimb Championship, with trophies for the fastest male and female up the final hill.
A donation from race profits will be made to Exeter homelessness charity St Petrock's. The event is organised by Haldon Trail Runners and holds an ARC race permit (ARC/26/0651). Entries open 24 March 2026 and close 2 July 2026. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
