The Great Stew Chase
The Great Stew Chase is an annual 15 kilometer road race held in Lynn, Massachusetts. The 2027 event is the 51st running and takes place on Sunday, January 31, 2027. The race is organized by the Wyoma Lions Club and traces its history back to 1975, making it one of the longest established 15 kilometer events in the United States.
Most participants run the full 15 km course. The event also offers two alternatives: a start option for slower runners and a two person relay in which each person runs half the distance.
Race timing is provided using the ChronoTrack system. Field sizes have exceeded 200 participants in past years. Many runners use the event as part of their mid winter training, including preparation and pacing checks ahead of longer spring races.
