The Great Mud Escape
The Great Mud Escape is a one mile obstacle course event at 43 Kinicutt Ave, Warren, RI. The course includes obstacles under final design, a few brain teasers, two giant mud pits, and muddy sections suitable for a family audience. A party area is part of the event and includes a Kids Bubble and Play Zone provided free with registration. Food and beverage details are pending; the event lists Del's Frozen Lemonade and sponsor giveaways such as SunBum sunscreen.
Three registration categories are offered with a one mile course in each:
- Adult 13 to 100: 1 mile
- Child 5 to 12: 1 mile
- Accompanying child 0 to 4: 1 mile
Children ages 0 to 12 must participate with someone aged 13 or older. Children ages 0 to 4 are admitted free with a signed waiver. The child 5 to 12 entry includes a medal; other categories include entry to the adventure race, parking, and admission to the party area. Price ranges published by the organizer show child fees from $20 to $30 and adult fees from $30 to $40, with a four person family pack option priced at $110.
All proceeds benefit Thrive Outside, a nonprofit that works to increase youth access to nature by transforming schoolyards, training K-12 teachers, and operating after-school and weekend outdoor programs. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
