The Great Candy Run

The Great Candy Run

The Great Candy Run is a candy themed 5K held at Washington Park in Denver on Sunday, November 8, 2026. The event has run for more than 22 years and is presented as a family oriented morning of costumes, music, and treats. Every registration supports the Fetal Health Foundation.

The event program includes a community 5K and a separate kids fun run for the youngest participants. Organizers provide candy at the finish in a designated Candy Village. Participants can receive a finisher medal and an event shirt, and a costume contest is part of the morning entertainment. Music and other entertainment run throughout the event to create a festive atmosphere.

Volunteer roles are listed for people who want to help with candy distribution, registration, and course support. The event also features a Jolly Rancher Challenge that invites people to share sweet stories for a chance to win prizes. A gallery of past years shows costumes and community moments, and past results are available.
