The Great American 5K
The inaugural Great American 5K takes place on July 4, 2026 in Linn Creek, Missouri, with the Linn Creek Industrial Park serving as the event site. The main race covers 3.1 Miles. A separate Military and Veterans division is offered and eligible participants receive a 20 percent reduced registration fee. Registration guarantees a commemorative shirt for those who register before June 17. Field size is limited to 200 participants because of custom medal ordering.
All participants receive a finisher medal and age group awards will be given to the top finisher in each division. Organizers provide packet pickup at Mo's Special T's, 828 Business Park Road, Linn Creek, on the day before the race and again on race morning. The event includes commemorative shirts and finisher awards as part of the race presentation.
Proceeds benefit the Heroes Outreach Program. That nonprofit focuses on preventing suicide among military veterans and first responders by reducing isolation and rebuilding peer support. The program organizes weekly, informal Gatherings at local cafes or diners to help participants form supportive local networks and aims to establish a Gathering location within 20 miles of every veteran and first responder.
