The Great American 5K - Linn Creek, MO
The Great American 5K takes place on July 4, 2027, at 828 Business Park Road in Linn Creek, Missouri. The event features a 5K (3.1 miles) course that winds through the Linn Creek Industrial Park and is described as relatively flat and safe for runners, walkers, families, and participants pushing strollers.
The inaugural event sold out and drew participants from across the United States and internationally. Race-day elements include patriotic music, American flags along the course, premium race swag, and a custom finisher medal. Field size is limited to 250 participants because of the ordering of custom medals.
Registration information: the fee is $35.00; registration opens July 5, 2026, and closes May 26, 2027. Military members and veterans are eligible for a 20% registration discount when using the code service.
Proceeds from the event benefit Heroes Outreach, a nonprofit focused on preventing suicide among military veterans and first responders by addressing isolation and rebuilding camaraderie. Heroes Outreach holds regular community gatherings where veterans and first responders can connect and support one another.
Awards will be presented to the top man and top woman in the following age categories: 12 and under, 13-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 and up. Sponsors listed for the event include Patriots Bank and MSTLOZ. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
