Lake of the Ozarks Turkey Trot 5K
The Lake of the Ozarks Turkey Trot 5K is a Thanksgiving morning running event held at Camdenton High School, 662 Laker Pride Rd, Camdenton, Missouri. The 2026 edition marks the 17th year of this community tradition. The event is attended by many families and emphasizes exercise, friendly competition and camaraderie.
There are two distances offered:
- 5k (3.1 miles)
- 1 mile fun run for kids and adults who do not want to complete the full 5k course
Hosted by FundRuns, all profits are directed to Share the Harvest food pantry and the Camdenton Cross Country team. Packet pickup is offered the evening before the race with location to be determined, and additional packet pickup is available on race morning at the high school. On-site registration is available during those pickup times.
Awards and recognition vary by event. The fun run does not offer awards but participants receive a finishers item. Overall male and female winners receive a plaque and a cash prize. Men’s and Women’s division awards are given in age groups 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69 and 70 and up. Boys and girls receive medals in age groups 10 and under and 11-14.
