Event overview
The Lake of the Ozarks Endurance Runs take place at Lake of the Ozarks State Park with the start and finish at Public Beach #1. The event includes a post-race TrailFest with food, beverages, live music, awards, and vendors. Title sponsors are Fleet Feet Columbia and Fleet Feet Jefferson City. Registration closes on Thu, Apr 30 at 11:59 PM CT. Packet pickup is available on race day only.
Courses and rules
Distances offered:
- Wandering Bobcat - approx. 5.5 miles
- Trail of Four Winds - 25K
- LOZ Traverse - approximately 32 miles running plus 3 miles paddling
The Trail of Four Winds and Wandering Bobcat run on trails within the state park and include rocky sections, roots, creek crossings, and steep grades. The LOZ Traverse combines the 25K run with lake paddling; competitors must provide their own kayak, canoe, or stand-up paddle board and must wear a Coast Guard approved life jacket. Cutoff rules apply: the Trail of Four Winds has a 6.5 hour cutoff, and the LOZ Traverse has a 3.5 hour cutoff to finish the Four Winds side plus an overall 10 hour cutoff.
Support and awards
Aid stations and drop bag locations are provided at several points on the courses. Every entrant receives a swag item; finisher awards and top overall male and female awards (top three) are presented at the post-race TrailFest and must be collected in person.
