Event overview
The Glasgow Winter Warmer Run in 2026 is a running event at Glasgow Green, Nelson's Column, G1 5DB on 8 February 2026. The event offers three distances and supports the charity Shelter. Fundraising is optional and there is no minimum fundraising target. Entry prices increase on 2 January 2026 and online entries close on 27 January 2026 unless the event sells out.
Distances
- 5k - one lap, mainly on paths.
- 10k - two laps.
- Half marathon - four laps plus an additional 1.1 km section.
Course and facilities
The course is flat and mainly on paths with one section on trail. The route is wheelchair friendly but note the trail section. Buggies are permitted. The event hub is located near the People’s Palace because of park restrictions. Registration is on the morning of the event and race packs are collected at registration. Bag storage is available but space is limited. Toilets are available within the event hub.
Timing, results and race services
All races use chip-on-bib timing with instant results displayed by Results Base and emailed after the event. Marshals will be placed around the course. Everyone receives a medal at the finish; drinks, snacks and event goodies are provided subject to partner offerings.
