Event overview
The Gingerbread Jog 5K is scheduled for Saturday, December 20, 2025, at Robert Allerton Park in Monticello, Illinois. The event is presented by the Sangamon Valley CEO class and is held at the Allerton Park & Retreat Center, 515 Old Timber Road. The 5K includes a novelty element in which a costumed "Gingerbread Man" is released onto the course after the 5K begins; runners who finish ahead of the Gingerbread Man receive a prize. Awards and a youth program are part of the event, and there is a photo opportunity listed with the awards. Race day registration and packet pickup take place at the Allerton Visitors Center. A race long-sleeve T is guaranteed for entries made during the Nov 12–Dec 1 window; shirts are not guaranteed for later registrations.
