The Gingerbread Jog 5K is a community run presented by the Sangamon Valley CEO class of 2026. It takes place on Saturday, December 20, 2025, at Robert Allerton Park, 515 Old Timber Road, Monticello, Illinois. The event includes a 5K Run/Walk and youth races.

Packet pickup is available on race day at the Allerton Visitors Center. The event includes cookie decorating, youth activities, awards, and a photo opportunity. Organizers will release a costumed "Gingerbread Man" during the 5K; participants who finish ahead of the Gingerbread Man receive a prize. There is also a prize for the best ugly Christmas sweater.
Registration and fees
Youth 100 m and 0.25 mile runs: $20 (shirt guaranteed until November 26).
5K Run/Walk pricing by registration date:
- $40 (guaranteed race long-sleeve T; registration window noted Nov 12 to Nov 30)
- $45 (no shirt guarantee; registration window noted Dec 1 to Dec 19)
- $50 (no shirt guarantee; race day registration)
