The 5.4 Funky Run - Davie, FL
The 5.4 Funky Run is a multi-event race weekend held in Vista View Park, Davie, Florida, on August 15–17, 2026. The event celebrates the disco era with music, a costume contest and on-site entertainment. A virtual participation option is offered.
Distances and event options:
- 5.4 mile - in-person course covering two loops
- 2.7 mile - in-person single loop option
- Virtual 5.4 mile - complete remotely; swag shipped to US addresses
The in-person course consists of a 5.4 mile route made up of two 2.7 mile loops that run around and over two hills in the park. Parking is available to the right when entering the park on a first-come, first-served basis; the race site is a short walk across a small foot bridge on the park's north side. There is a designated packet pickup area for last-minute pickup, and online registration remains open until shortly before the event.
Results are available on-site and entrants can sign up to receive results by text. Awards are presented to the top three male and top three female overall finishers and to the top three in each age group; overall awards use gun time while age group awards use chip time. Virtual participants are not eligible for awards. If in-person staging becomes impractical the organizer will transfer registrations to the virtual event. Virtual swag is shipped via the United States Postal Service within two weeks of the in-person event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
