The Fun Run in support of the Alberta Children's Hospital Foundation
The Fun Run takes place at the Montgomery Community Association, 5003 16 Ave NW, Calgary, on Saturday, May 30, 2026. The event supports the Alberta Children's Hospital Foundation. Registration is free; donations are encouraged and donations over $20 receive a tax receipt.
A post-run social is planned with local treats and a community raffle offering various prizes and gift certificates provided by local partners. On-site activities include games for children, warm-up sessions led by instructors, and a reading centre hosted by a local reading organisation.
The event materials describe a family account in which a child required extracorporeal membrane oxygenation, ECMO, after a severe case of toxic shock syndrome; organisers note that the ECMO program at the children's hospital is funded in part through the Foundation and that this medical support is a focus of the fundraiser and awareness efforts.
