The Event
The Servus Calgary Marathon is organized by Run Calgary. It is described as Canada's longest-running marathon, marking its 62nd year in 2026. The event attracts runners from various levels and from around the world.
Distances
Participants can choose between an in-person event or a virtual experience. The available distances are:
- 5 km
- 10 km
- 21.1 km (half marathon)
- 42.2 km (marathon)
There is also a Kids Race and a Diaper Dash.
Participation Details
The in-person event takes place over two days, on May 23 and 24, 2026. The virtual race experience runs from May 25 to June 21, 2026. Participants can run, walk, or wheel. There is an option to join or create a team in categories such as Fundraising Team, Corporate Team, and Youth Team.
Fundraising
All participants can fundraise for any of the 100+ charity partners through the Charity Challenge.
Green Bib Option
A "Green Bib" option is available. By choosing this, a participant forgoes receiving the race shirt and finisher medal. Instead, a $10 donation is made to the Great Divide Trail Association. This option does not apply to the Kids Race or Diaper Dash.
Policies
Entry fees are non-refundable, except for those who enrolled in the Race Roster Enhanced Refund Protection Program at registration. Transfers between distances or to another person are permitted under specific conditions and deadlines. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
