About the race
The FORT 5k is a community running event held on November 1, 2026 at Trent Arena / Fairmont High School in Kettering, Ohio. The course is an out-and-back route entirely on the Fairmont High School grounds and covers 5k (3.1 miles).
The event is organized to celebrate the life of an event honoree and to raise funds for the Fairmont Girls Basketball Program; all proceeds go to that program. The event welcomes runners, walkers, children, and dogs.
Registration information is provided in advance. Registration opens on September 1 and closes on October 18. Registrations completed by October 18 cost $35 and include a guaranteed shirt; registrations after October 18 increase to $40 and shirts are not guaranteed. A family rate of $95 is available for a family of four. For an additional $5 registrants may upgrade to a long sleeve shirt. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
